The beauty about Beeluxe is that it allows you to #useasyouchoose, meaning that you decide how your skin will best benefit from it.

The seven key Beeluxe benefits:

How to apply Beeluxe

For the best Beeluxe result, we always recommend softening and warming it before use.  Warm the surface of the balm using your fingertip, applying pressure if needed.  Your Beeluxe will form a rich cream-like texture, ready to apply where you wish #useasyouchoose.

When using Beeluxe as a primer, follow the advice above and apply your face remembering that a #littlegoesalongway.  Leave this for a few minutes for your skin to absorb, then apply your makeup as normal.

For that extra dewy glow, whether you are wearing makeup or not, lightly dab Beeluxe onto the areas of your face you wish to highlight and enjoy the glow.

Soften your Beeluxe as normal, then rub it into extra dry hands, feet, elbows, and knees as you would any moisturiser.  Best applied to cuticles post mani or pedi for extra conditioning.

How and where you apply your Beeluxe remember, #useasyouchoose, #alittlegoesalongway, and always #beeyourself.

Propolis Extract

Propolis is a natural resinous mixture produced by honeybees from substances collected from parts of plants, buds, and exudates. Due to its waxy nature and mechanical properties, bees use propolis in the construction and repair of their hives.

According to the EU CosIng Database (official database for cosmetic ingredients), the function of propolis is ‘skin conditioner’.

Benefits of propolis for the skin:

  • Softens and moisturises the skin
  • Can be used on all skin types (hydrates dry skin, and is absorptive for those with oily skin)

Honey

According to the EU CosIng Database (official database for cosmetic ingredients), the function of honey is ‘moisturiser’.

Honey is known to have mild antibacterial and antiseptic abilities, so it may benefit oily and acne-prone skin. Honey is also a natural humectant, so it helps keep the skin moist but not oily. A humectant is something that retains or preserves moisture.

Vitamin E

According to the EU CosIng Database (official database for cosmetic ingredients), the function of vitamin E is ‘antioxidant’ and ‘skin conditioner – occlusive’. Ingredients that are occlusive are moisturizing agents that work by forming a protective layer on the surface of your skin and create a barrier to prevent moisture loss.

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant, helping protect cells from damage. It’s found in our sebum (skin oil), which creates a natural barrier to keep moisture in your skin.

The main known benefits of Vitamin E within the skin are:

  • Helps stop skin from losing moisture
  • Helps to protect cells from damage
  • Softens skin

Beeswax (Cera Alba)

According to the EU CosIng Database (official database for cosmetic ingredients), the function of beeswax is ‘film former’ and ‘skin conditioner – emollient’.

Beeswax has been used topically used since the ancient Egyptian times

Beeswax can create a protective layer on the skin. It’s also a humectant, which means that it attracts water. Both of these qualities can help the skin stay hydrated.

Beeswax is also a natural exfoliator, ideal for sloughing away dead skin cells.

Shea Butter

According to the EU CosIng Database (official database for cosmetic ingredients), the function of shea butter is ‘skin conditioning’.

Shea butter is typically used for its moisturising effects. These benefits are tied to shea’s fatty acid content, including linoleic, oleic, stearic, and palmitic acids. When you apply shea topically, these oils are rapidly absorbed into your skin. They act as a “refatting” agent, restoring lipids and rapidly creating moisture. This restores the barrier between your skin and the outside environment, holding moisture in and reducing your risk of dryness.

Other Benefits of the Beeluxe Formulation

Contains glycerol which is a known humectant

Contains canola oil which is a good moisturiser

Pollen extract is also known to be a good emollient
